How to tell us that something on Caraidiz infringes your rights, and what happens next.

Caraidiz hosts videos, comments and profile pictures created by its users. We do not review them before they appear. If something on Caraidiz infringes your copyright, tell us using the process below and we will act on it.

Where to send a notice

Email reaches us fastest. Put "Copyright notice" in the subject line.

What a valid notice must contain

So that we can act without guessing, your notice must include all six of the following. A notice missing any of them may be ineffective, and we may have to come back to you before we can do anything.

1. Your signature — physical or electronic — as the owner of the right, or as someone authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
2. Identification of the work you say has been infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list of them.
3. Identification of the infringing material, precisely enough for us to find and remove it. On Caraidiz that means the cara link (https://caraidiz.com/cara/…) or the handle and, for a comment, its text — a screenshot alone is not enough for us to locate it.
4. How to reach you — address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement of good faith belief that the use complained of is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the owner of the right or authorised to act for the owner.

What we do with it

1. We acknowledge your notice.
2. If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the material, normally within 24 hours of receiving it.
3. We notify the user who posted it, tell them why, and pass on a copy of the notice — which will include your details. If you would prefer certain contact details to be withheld from the user, say so in your notice and we will withhold what we lawfully can.
4. We record the notice against that account.

If your content was removed and you think we were wrong

You can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must contain:

1. Your signature, physical or electronic.
2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live (or, if outside the United States, of any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We will pass your counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us they have started a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post infringing content are terminated. We keep a record of notices per account for that purpose.

A warning about false notices

Deliberately misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please do not use this process to remove content you simply dislike. If your complaint is about harassment, impersonation or something else that is not a copyright question, use the Community Guidelines report route or the contact page instead.

Other rights, and other countries

This page is written around the US notice-and-takedown model because that is the process most rightsholders expect. If you are outside the United States, or your complaint concerns trade marks, image rights, privacy or another right rather than copyright, write to the same address with the same level of detail and we will handle it under the law that applies.

The music in caras

The music tracks offered inside Caraidiz are supplied by us, not uploaded by users. If you believe a track in our library infringes your rights, tell us and we will remove the track itself rather than only the caras that used it.
